We were so excited about being able to walk from the hotel to the church for Sunday morning mass. But they were doing some floor work and had mass in the Knights of Columbus Hall! We were crushed. But it was a nice mass.
Oh, how we would have liked to see inside.
We stayed at the Sheraton right on the 16th Street Mall downtown Denver. The fun of running up and down the Mall was marred by the annual Zombie Parade and an "Occupy" march.

Aspens became our favorite tree. This tree is in the parking lot at the Visitor Center in the Heritage Museum of Idaho Springs along I-70.
A lone Sunday afternoon sailor in Dillon Reservoir. It sits between Silverthorne and Frisco. Numerous ski areas are very close by.

This is an off Interstate road heading into Vail. We cruised through Vail and went on to Avon a little farther west.
This is from the roof of the hotel in Avon. That's Beaver Creek ski area on the mountain.
It was a long haul from Avon to Jackson, but these aspen grove showed the bare look as well as some golden sections. This is still in the Colorado Rockies.
We made it to Jackson, Wyoming Sunday evening. We stayed at the BEST WESTERN PLUS The Lodge at Jackson Hole. On Monday we ventured into town.

This is Elk country. This is the town square in Jackson. The streets surrounding are door-to-door shops.
The ubiquitous stuffed critter was outside amongst the shops.
